Why we love it

We love Aleknagik Island Lodge for its scale, just eight guests on their own island in Bristol Bay, and fishing that changes with every run of the summer. We are proud their gift shop carries our Creative Artisan pewter, so a king, a sockeye, or a rainbow from your week there can live on at home.

The experience

Eight guests a week on a private island in Lake Aleknagik: that is the whole formula, and it works. Jetboats fan out across 120 miles of the Wood-Tikchik system as the salmon species roll through in sequence, from June kings and sockeye to September silvers, with big rainbows and char in between.

The fish

Each fish links to its pewter counterpart in our shop, the version of the catch that never has to be released.

Take the trip home

All five Pacific salmon run past this island. Start the set with the king, the sockeye and the rainbow.
