Why we love it

We respect a lodge that protects the very fish it is famous for, and Duncanby's Tyee release commitment and support for the Percy Walkus Hatchery say a lot about who they are. We are proud their gift shop carries our Creative Artisan pewter, so a Rivers Inlet trip can be remembered in something made to last as long as the story of the one you let go.

The experience

Duncanby sits where Rivers Inlet narrows into some of the most storied chinook water on the BC coast, and it lets you fish it your own way, dawn to dark, with no set hours. Take a centre console out yourself or step aboard a Grady White with a guide, then come back to a boardwalk of cabins and a kitchen that feeds you when you are actually hungry. The ethic matches the place: the biggest fish, the Tyee, go back to spawn.

The fish

Each fish links to its pewter counterpart in our shop, the version of the catch that never has to be released.

Take the trip home

Rivers Inlet chinook are released to spawn, as they should be. The pewter version is the one you keep.
