black-bear-walking-magnet-m033
Walking Black Bear Magnet – Pewter Fridge Magnet, Made in USA

The Black Bear — often simply called the “Blackie” — is an iconic North American mammal known for strength and adaptability. This species, Ursus americanus, ranges widely throughout the forests and woodlands of North America. Black Bears are also affectionately known as “Bruins,” a nod to their scientific name, and they exhibit a wide range of coat colors, including black, brown, cinnamon, and even a rare bluish hue; despite their name, not all Black Bears are black. They share a family connection with the Grizzly Bear and the Polar Bear. Known for their resourcefulness and intelligence, they maintain a versatile diet of berries, nuts, fish, and small mammals. Skilled climbers and swimmers, they adapt to various habitats. Black Bears are solitary for much of the year but can be seen in family groups during mating and rearing seasons, and while typically shy and avoidant of humans, encounters can occur in areas where food is plentiful. These magnificent creatures hold a special place in North American wildlife, embodying both the beauty and the wildness of the continent’s natural landscapes.

Details

Material: certified American pewter, lead-free

Made: hand-finished in Port Gamble, Washington, USA, from a line of pewter jewelry crafted in America since 1991

Questions

Is it lead-free? Yes.
