Bluefish Large Pin S053
Often affectionately referred to as "Blue," the Bluefish is a formidable and tenacious predator of the ocean, earning nicknames like "Chopper" and "Tailor." This fish is known for its sleek, torpedo-like body and vibrant blue-green coloration, with a signature dark patch just behind the pectoral fin. Bluefish are a prized catch among anglers, renowned for their powerful fights and voracious feeding habits. They share a family resemblance with other predatory fish such as mackerel and tuna. Bluefish are highly migratory, covering vast distances along the Atlantic coast of North America, from the Gulf of Maine to the Gulf of Mexico. They are often found in schools, making them an exciting target for both recreational and commercial fishermen. Bluefish are known for their sharp teeth, which they use to tear into schools of baitfish with incredible speed and precision. Renowned for their delicious, flaky white meat, Bluefish are not only a challenging catch but also a culinary delight. Whether you're an angler seeking an adrenaline-pumping battle or a seafood enthusiast savoring a flavorful meal, the Bluefish holds a special place in the world of sportfishing and seafood cuisine.

Craft & construction
Built to stay put. Our pins have two posts and clutches which hold it flat and ensure a spin-free application wherever you display it. It solves a common pin complaint. The 1/4-inch steel tacks are long enough to pass through most fabrics, about 1/4 inch, yet short enough to sit flush. And each clutch seats into a small groove on the post with a firm, satisfying click — haptic feedback that tells you it's locked, and a detail cheaper pins skip.
Hand-painted, marine-grade finish. Each hand-painted piece is carefully painted by an artisan right in our studio in Port Gamble, WA. The proprietary multistep process includes priming each piece followed by meticulous painting by hand in acrylics with fine detail work to bring the item to life with incredible detail. The final step adds a coating of marine-grade epoxy — a hard, clear finish that protects the artwork so our product can be used on a boat, outside, or other conditions highly resistant to fading or wear.
Certified American pewter. The antiqued finish is completely safe to touch — and the craft behind it has been refined over three decades. Each batch of pewter that arrives at our shop in Port Gamble, WA from an American supplier comes with a lab test showing the material is lead free.
