Coho Salmon Magnet A602M
Often referred to as "Silver Salmon," the Alaskan Coho Salmon is a highly prized and migratory species known for its striking appearance and exceptional flavor. These salmon are native to the cold, pristine waters of Alaska and the Pacific Northwest, and they get their nickname from their bright silver sides, which gleam in the water. During their ocean phase, they exhibit a streamlined profile with metallic-blue backs and distinctive dark spots on their tails and upper lobes. Coho Salmon are famous for their robust and succulent flesh, making them a favorite among anglers and seafood enthusiasts, and their rich flavor and firm texture lend themselves well to a variety of culinary preparations. These salmon are anadromous, meaning they spawn in freshwater rivers and streams but spend most of their lives in the ocean, where they feed on a diet of small fish and crustaceans. They are known for their remarkable leaps and acrobatics when they migrate upstream to spawn. Coho Salmon play a vital role in the ecosystem and are a prized catch for recreational and commercial fishing, contributing to the cultural and culinary heritage of the regions they inhabit.

Craft & construction
Powerful magnets that actually hold. Our magnet strengths vary by design. Smaller magnets pull 3–5 lbs — enough to hold to a refrigerator with more than a single sheet of paper or photo between. The heavier premium magnets use an even stronger 6–7 lb magnet, and slim designs use two smaller magnets where one won't fit. Our magnets are bonded in our studio by an artisan with an industrial-strength adhesive to ensure they will never come loose.
Certified American pewter. The antiqued finish is completely safe to touch — and the craft behind it has been refined over three decades. Each batch of pewter that arrives at our shop in Port Gamble, WA from an American supplier comes with a lab test showing the material is lead free.
