manatee-magnet-m060
Manatee Magnet – Pewter Fridge Magnet, Made in USA

The manatee, often called a "sea cow," is a gentle marine mammal known for its herbivorous diet and slow-moving nature. These herbivores are found in warm, shallow waters and are divided into three species: the West Indian manatee, the Amazonian manatee, and the West African manatee. With a large, rotund body covered in thick, wrinkled skin, they can reach lengths of up to 13 feet and weigh over 3,500 pounds. Manatees are characterized by their paddle-like flippers and a rounded tail, which they use for propulsion. They are primarily herbivorous, feeding on seagrasses and aquatic plants. Due to their slow metabolism, manatees have a low energy requirement and spend most of their time grazing. These gentle giants are known for their calm disposition and are often seen lazing near the water's surface. However, they are vulnerable to boat strikes and habitat loss, making conservation efforts crucial for their survival.

Details

Material: certified American pewter, lead-free

Made: hand-finished in Port Gamble, Washington, USA, from a line of pewter jewelry crafted in America since 1991

Questions

Is it lead-free? Yes.
