Why we love it

We hold Kulik Lodge in the highest regard: Alaska's original fly-out lodge, on one of the finest rainbow trout rivers on earth. We are proud their gift shop carries Creative Artisan pewter, a worthy memento of a Katmai trip that anglers talk about for the rest of their lives.

The experience

Kulik is where Alaska fly-out fishing began, in 1950, and the Kulik River still runs gin-clear past the spruce main lodge, full of native rainbows. Fish the home water on foot in the morning, then let Katmai Air put you on a different legendary river by afternoon, with bears, volcanoes, and tundra all around.

The fish

Each fish links to its pewter counterpart in our shop, the version of the catch that never has to be released.

Take the trip home

The Kulik rainbow is the fish of a lifetime. Ours is cast in pewter and never has to go back.
